Lapis Lazuli is one of the most valued stones in ancient history. It is deeply connected to spirituality, divinity, royalty, and cosmic wisdom.

The most well-known lapis lazuli originates in Afghanistan. It was cherished by ancient Egyptian royalty as early as 4,000 B.C. and was used in headpieces, crowns, and ceremonial jewelry. During the Italian Renaissance, around the 1500's, Lapis was also considered a treasure. Crushed into powder and mixed with oil, Lapis was turned into pigment for painting. It was so valuable and rare to come across that it was reserved only to paint the Pope's cloak or Mary's cap. In Taoist Medicine Lapis strengthens the solar plexus, throat and third eye. It encourages one to speak their mind and thoughts clearly. It cultivated astral travel and nourishes one to feel more comfortable with themselves and feel they are "enough".
